About
A Journey without a Roadmap
I was raised by Jamaican immigrants who deeply believed in education, discipline, and personal responsibility. However, they were unfamiliar with the elite academic pathways in the United States. As the first in my family to attend college, I had to navigate these systems without a guide, learning every step of the way.
My academic journey began at Regis High School in New York City, a rigorous Jesuit institution that demanded excellence and intellectual independence. From there, I proceeded to Yale College, where I continued through to Yale Law School and the Yale School of Management, earning a joint JD/MBA. I never took breaks, detours, or second chances—moving continuously and navigating increasingly selective environments where success left little room for error.
