About

A Journey without a Roadmap

I was raised by Jamaican immigrants who deeply believed in education, discipline, and personal responsibility. However, they were unfamiliar with the elite academic pathways in the United States. As the first in my family to attend college, I had to navigate these systems without a guide, learning every step of the way.

My academic journey began at Regis High School in New York City, a rigorous Jesuit institution that demanded excellence and intellectual independence. From there, I proceeded to Yale College, where I continued through to Yale Law School and the Yale School of Management, earning a joint JD/MBA. I never took breaks, detours, or second chances—moving continuously and navigating increasingly selective environments where success left little room for error.

Lessons from BigLaw and Beyond

After graduating from graduate school, I entered the demanding world of BigLaw, where I worked with sophisticated clients on complex, high-stakes matters that required long-term planning, precision, and judgment in uncertain situations.

This professional experience reinforced what I had known since high school: outcomes are rarely accidental. They are shaped by careful decisions made well in advance—decisions often understood by those who know the system better than others.

Why I Founded Scholastic Trajectories

My own path was not built on a playbook or inherited knowledge. It was the result of deliberate choices, careful planning, and an evolving understanding of how elite systems work—from academics to admissions, and eventually, professional advancement.

I founded Scholastic Trajectories to share this critical perspective. I understand what opportunity can unlock, but I also recognize how easily it can be missed without the right guidance. My goal is to ensure that students and families think strategically, plan intentionally, and build academic journeys that open real doors—both in the short term and for years to come.

Our Mission

Building Academic Momentum That Compounds Over Time Beyond College Admissions

At Scholastic Trajectories, our mission is to help students build clarity, capability, and confidence. Too often, students receive help only when something goes wrong: grades dip, stress spikes, or high-stakes milestones (e.g., college admissions) are suddenly around the corner. By then, families are forced into reactive decisions and short-term fixes.

We believe academic success should work differently. Scholastic Trajectories focuses on long-term trajectories, rather than just optimizing for the moment. We help students develop the systems, habits, and strategic thinking required to manage their academic lives independently and effectively.
